Providence Canyon SP

$10.00

Georgia’s “Little Grand Canyon” covers 1,108 acres with 16 canyons, some as deep as 150 feet. Three miles of hiking trails allow one to closely examine geological strata exposed by erosion that resulted from farming in the early- to mid- 1800s.

For the wetland soils enthusiast, the canyon floors may be “The Iron Deposit Capitol of the World.” Starting in July, the slopes lining the canyon floors have a beautiful display of blooming Plumleaf Azaleas (Rhododendron prunifolia).
